From recycling to reusable bottles

For logistical reasons, it is not yet possible to reuse the bottles, but it is the long-term goal. The violet glass bottles can be disposed of with the brown glass collection, where they are then recycled.

In the future: reduce, reuse, refill. Refill instead of throwing away. It is not a matter of course that we have to produce waste just to have a drink. Recyclable packaging is nicer, more practical and healthier. A refiller is not only more ecological, it is also the order of the day.

Reusable packaging can reduce tons of waste. On average, each of us in Switzerland produces about 170 kg of waste per year from disposable packaging only. This corresponds to about 20% of the total waste per capita.

Reusable is the better way
Numerous studies have already shown that the eco-balance of reusable packaging is much better than that of disposable packaging. Reuse conserves natural resources such as wood, water and oil. This is even the case if the washing of returnable bottles is taken into account.

Reusable systems generate jobs, not waste. Reusable packaging reduces the final price of the product and helps communities save on waste collection costs. When reusable packaging is used, the packaging is washed, not thrown away. Reusable packaging has many advantages:

Reusable packaging is environmentally friendly

Reusable packaging secures jobs

Reusable resources save resources

Reusable is a model

Conclusion: Reusable is the better way. A returnable glass bottle can be used up to 50 times.

1 returnable bottle replaces 50 disposable bottles!

And does the glass bottle have to be disposed of?
1 kg of waste glass is turned into 1 kg of new glass; nothing is lost.
